Artifex and Osket

Just a little sign that I'm not dead. Still fighting a looming art block, but creating things does help.

Two aliens from the same galaxy as the Neophron (probably the galaxy we know as NGC 1300).

The Artifex are actually a "representation race" (a nicer word for "slave race") of a species named Tames (Ta-mees, pronouced in a german dialect). The Tames are somehow similar to our amphibians and their Planet Tamesin is pretty wet overall. Their politic is "Shoot everything that isn't us", and they live in an isolated sector since the first contact about 2000 years ago. A few decades later the Artifex appeared and started abducting people, stealing data and sabotage space stations, and even later assassinate politicians. But about 500 years ago the first Artifex came to realize that he developed his own will and some other followed, and now a handful of them are living on their own and mostly in isolation, because nobody really trust them. They are excellent fighters and infiltrators and if you want a tough job to be done they are the one you'll call (but never admit that you did this).

The Osket are basically the vikings of the galaxy. They are loud-mouthed, grumpy, love to fight, to party and to drink and you should probably keep them far away from your children because they will know a lot of swearwords afterwards. But they are loyal as fuck and one of the most fearsome races in battle, no matter if long-ranged battle or close combat. "Never bring a knife to a gunfight" - as if. Their planet is mostly covered with tundra, huge forests, mountains, and snow almost everywhere except the equatorial region. They never really reached the space on their own but were found by the Neophron around 3000 years ago after they launched their first satellite, and were carefully introduced in the galactical society. Since then they proved their worth in many battles, built their own space ships and colonized new planets.

I'm not quite sure why I create all this, but I'm sure that the Tames are antagonists in this.
